The carrier is also planning to begin daily nonstop flights between the New York area and Portugal's Azores islands—specifically from New Jersey's Newark Liberty International Airport to Ponta Delgada, the archipelago's capital city, starting May 13. United will be the only airline to fly between the two locales and will operate the route with a new single-aisle Boeing 737 Max 8 plane. On board, the company says the cabins will have "enhanced seat back entertainment with Bluetooth connectivity and overhead bin space for every customer."
The Azores are the perfect place for digital nomads or for retired people who want to live in a safe, calm place and surrounded by wonderful nature where they can practice various outdoor activities. Real estate in the Azores can be quite attractive due to the prices and low fees to be paid.
